A plant clipping is a small section (normally a leaf on a stem) cut from a plant.
To propagate a plant clipping in water successfully, follow these steps: Choose a healthy plant clipping with at least two nodes. Place the clipping in a container of water, making sure the nodes are submerged. Change the water every few days to prevent bacterial growth. Keep the container in a bright, indirect light location. Roots should start to grow in a few weeks. Once roots are established, transplant the clipping into soil.
it is asexual if you do not plant it from the root. eg. take a clipping and that will count as asexual.
If I understand your question, you took a clipping of a rose bush and wondering how to grow it. Well with the clipping let it root at the cut end by placing it in water till it does so. When root emerge plant clipping in location and be perpared to baby it. Most roses are grown from the root which is much more complicated. Good Luck
