Not all beer is made from kelp. Some craft brewers are experimenting with the use of Sugar Kelp as an ingredient in their beers. These are generally maritime breweries. Well, fungi is a Kingdom, not a Phylum. But, no, kelp is made of algae and belongs in Kingdom Protista.
