An old Indian tale tells the story of a man who discovers a form of seaweed called Sea Weed giants by the Indians and is later referred to as The Giant Weed. It can grow up to 80ft tall and lives in large clusters in the ocean. It is very common for a blue whale to get caught in the weeds and then eaten alive by the Weed Crab who uses the weeds as protection from view from the animals that it preys on. The animal that is eaten most by these crabs is the very rare sea penguin that gets lost in the weeds and dies from starvation or is attacked by the crabs.
