PLATFORM shoes are more comfort to wear than wedge. Comfort-wise? Take Platforms.
Platform shoes are shoes that have added height in the front or all over if it's a wedge.
An added height under the toe is a platform.
Wedges, are any shoe with a wedge heel.
Platform-wedges are just a combination of the two.
A wedge heel with extra height added and extra height under the front of the shoe.
Platforms are generally more comfortable because it's extra height without having to arch your foot as much. Wearing 4" heel with a 1" platform is actually like wearing a 3" heel comfort wise.

It is the same as I know
It's kind of a grey area, but generally pumps are chunky high-heels. Platform shoes have less of an angle, so they're more like a wedge, but styled similar to pumps with patent leather and stuff like that. They are sometimes higher than pumps.
There is no difference. They mean exactly the same thing. Portable code is independent of the platform while non-portable code is platform-dependant.
From one viewpoint just a matter of frame of reference...
An oil rig is an oil platform or oil production platform. A drilling is different though.
