Though not mentioned by NAME,

the Phoenician people made their oars out of “Massive trees from Bashan”, which are believed to have been oaks (Ezekiel 27:6 /Isaiah 2:13) since they grow to such a lofty size, and that mountainous part of the world was, as is still, famous for forests of oak(Zechariah 11:2)

The sturdy wood of the oak was often used in oar making because of it’s strength.
