In "The Tulip Touch" by Anne Fine, the head teacher at Tulip's school is Mr. Dimmock. He plays a significant role in the story, particularly as Tulip navigates her challenging social dynamics and personal issues. His character adds depth to the school environment and reflects the attitudes of educators towards Tulip's unique situation.

It is traditional for schools to have head Teachers, although some schools may call their head teachers by a different name such as a principle. Many schools may also have a deputy head teacher. the deputy head teacher's role is to take over (Or assist) the head teacher.
all of them are stupid but the worst is the head teacher
A deputy head teacher is 2nd to the head teacher and will be responsible for covering for the head teacher during a leave of absence. An assistant is litterally that, a senior member of staff there to assist with senior management responsiblities such as assessment, literacy, communications, CPD, staff training etc. Deputies are on considerably more money but have much more responsibilities in directing school policy.
Alistair Brien is our head teacher and if you look on the schools website then their is a picture of him on the home page.
