This poem, by William Wordsworth, was written in 1804, published in 1807 and edited in 1815. It is also called "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud".
The Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A Poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed-and gazed-but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
Wordsworth saw a crowd of 10,000 daffodils at a glance when he wandered lonely as a cloud beside a lake. This experience inspired his famous poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud."
Lonely is an adjective or describing word. Therefore, it doesn't have a plural. See examples; I am lonely You are lonely They are lonely The plural (they) doesn't require a variation on the word lonely.
For oft, when on my couch I lieIn vacant or in pensive mood,They flash upon that inward eyeWhich is the bliss of solitude;And then my heart with pleasure fills,And dances with the daffodils.The "inward eye" is the visualization of a memory.The stanza is commenting that when he is alone, and not feeling muchof anything, he remembers the daffodils and they make him feel happy.
If i would be a cloud a cumulus i would be out in the sun out in the air like all the other cumuluses you see i would make shapes with my fluff i would go round and enjoy the day a cumulus i would be. poem written by Reiha Ali
No, the solution is the air that you can see through before the cloud forms when you see the cloud the water has come out of solution.
You feel lonely because you wish you had a significant other.
In weatherwhat is used to see cloud patterns and movements?
it means you see Jesus on a horse coming from a cloud
No, we cannot See the Moon when it is raining because the clouds will cover the moon and if the cloud is clear only we can see the cloud.
both. a story and a poem. it is pretty much telling you what you want to see it as, a story or a poem...i see it as a story. However, it is a BALLAD, not a BALLARD....
A rain cloud is usually a "nimbus" cloud such as the nimbostratus and cumulonimbus (thunderstorm) clouds.
