After initially being captivated by the Shaper's song, Grendel eventually becomes disillusioned with it. He sees the Shaper's storytelling as manipulative and a tool for controlling others, leading Grendel to reject its power over him.
Grendel is one of three antagonists, along with Grendel's mother and the dragon, in the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf(AD 700-1000). In the poem, Grendel is feared by all but Beowulf. Beowulf chose to slay Grendel because Grendel was attempting to destroy Heorot, the Danish king's (Hrothgar's) mead hall. The fact that Beowulf and Hrothgar were friends and Grendel was killing and eating the Danish king's subjects played a part in Beowulf's mission. Even worse in the initial attacks between Beowulf and Grendel, Grendel fights back! (Cette bête est mauvaise quand vous l'attaque, il se défend)
The scene depicts the aftermath of Grendel's attack, with the people in mourning and shock from the destruction and loss of life. The scene sets the tone for the somber and fearful atmosphere that now permeates the community.

Yes, the Grendel P-12 is related to Kel-Tec. Kel-Tec originally designed and manufactured the Grendel P-12, a .380 ACP semi-automatic pistol, in the 1990s. The P-12 was later discontinued, but it shares a connection to Kel-Tec through its original production.
