Satin wasn't even really IN Beowulf. Unless you are referring to Grendel who is (kind of) tied to Satin. Grendel is a descendant of Cain who did the bidding of Satin by killing his brother Able aursing his family for generations. So by that way of thinking, Grendel is the villian. And no matter WHAT story you are reading, Satin will ALWAYS be the villian, too.
