Prose and Poetry are alike and are similar because they are both lanaguages and you write about the same thing.EAMPLE : Say I am writing about softball. I would say for prose a paragraph about the topic. Like : I was standing at home plate and the ball went bye but i was to scared to hit it. On the 3rd pitch i swung and missed and tears came down my cheak.

So you write something like that. But for poetry you would write a poem about that paragraph.
