Sheer coincidence! I was thinking of one. It was written by a woman and connects various cities and battle sites in France with (The Good Joan) which I believe is the title of the poem. Each verse concludes- And Joan of Arc goes riding by! The only problem is there is maybe an excess of joie de vivre. My Dad thought (he ws Lutheran) it sounded like (while not a song) a parody on Happy Days are here Again!)The poem makes no mention of her martydom or tragic aspects of her life. Oh maybe there is too much wet blankets around let us live it up! The poem was not a song, though it could easily be sung to (Happy days are here again) which might give the wrong impression. There is a hymn called (Stainless Maiden) at first glance seems to be about the Girl Knight, but is actually about the Virgin Mary. Tyere are a number of poems about St.Joan, good luck in seeking them out. Somewhat oddly there are no canonical 9regular issue, approved) HYMNS about her in English. There are few hymns honoring specific saints though it can be argued Amazing Grace is about St.Paul and his conversion, and many other songs are similar, yet there are tons of Marian hymns- in fact the whole month of May is taken up with ASt.Mary, a little unbalanced if you ask me. There are probably good Ste Jeanne hymns-In French as she is the National saint. Likewise must be St.Patrick:s day Hymns in Ireland.

Joan of Arc was born in Domremy, France- sounds like Do Re Me, doesnh"t it. One of the better poems about her ( The Good Joan) had the concluding line, Tours, Arles, and Domremy reply, anmd Joan of Arc goes riding by! Oddly the song-poem (which sounded TOO much like ( Happy Days are Here again) did not mention Rheims.
