Polyphemus cries out to his father, the god Poseidon. He requests revenge on Odysseus and his men, asking that they not return home to Ithaca.
Before Polyphemus (name means many loud shouts) is blinded by Odysseus, he asks him his name as he has a gift for him. Odysseus tells Polyphemus his name is "Nobody." When the other Cyclops ask Polyphemus why he is shouting and ask if he is being attacked, Polyphemus tells them, "Nobody is attacking me," so they all think it is an affliction sent by the Gods and tell him to pray to his father Poseidon for relief.
The other Cyclopes ask Polyphemus who has hurt him, and what his name is. They are concerned about what has happened to him and want to know the identity of the perpetrator.
Because Odysseus blinded Poseidon's son Polyphemus, so then Polyphemus made a prayer to his father (Poseidon) so then Poseidon cursed Odysseus with a hard journey home with many [arils.
you ask god for prayer maybe because you need it and he can help you.. You ask god because he loves you and will always be there for you
polyphemus yells and calls his fellow cyclops for help. When they come they ask who is hurting him, he answers NOBODY IS KILLING ME! and at this all the cyclops laugh and go away.
well he didn't actually keep them from coming to see what Polyphemus was wailing about, what actually happen was, as you may know, he told Polyphemus his name was nobody to keep who he really was secret, this also help him as when Polyphemus's brothers ask him what was wrong, he replied 'nobody has blinded me'. his brothers thought he was being stupid and just went back to herding their flocks.
The irony in Polyphemus's curse on Odysseus is that he unknowingly calls on Poseidon to exact revenge on himself. Polyphemus is unaware that Odysseus is disguised as "Nobody" when Odysseus blinds him, leading Polyphemus to ask Poseidon to punish "Nobody." This irony contributes to the cunning and cleverness of Odysseus in escaping the Cyclops.

There is no Sin for missing your Friday prayer, but reconsile and ask for forgivess.
Odysseus does not leave the cave of Polyphemus when his men ask because he wants to see if the cyclops will offer them hospitality, as is the custom in Greek culture. He also wants to test the strength of the cyclops, believing that only he has the power to move the boulder blocking the entrance. Additionally, Odysseus hopes to outwit and defeat Polyphemus rather than flee.
Polyphemus attempts to capture the men, but to no avail. When Odysseus, while escaping, gives Polyphemus his real name, Polyphemus prays to his father Poseidon to curse Odysseus and prevent him from returning home.
you ask for forgivness for your sins
