It is a fine burning sentence. A tree which has lost its head will never recover (it) again, and will survive only as a monument to the ignorance and folly of its tormentor. Man in his wanton thought does many atrocities and irreparable damages. Once he has sold himself, he will not hesitate to sell anyone. He cuts a tree head here, kills a rabbit there. He will not eat the tree head or the rabbit either. It is his pleasure. Every living thing that moves kills, either to eat or in defense. But man likes to torment. It is the inborn evil in him that causes him to do these things of harm to other beings. We can not say that they originate from animal instincts because animals never do such things. It is always rolling like waves in the subconscious layer of human mind. Culture and civilization is the seive that prevents these base and bestial instincts rising to the conscious layer of mind, turning immediately to loathsome actions. The more perfect the perforations in this seive, the more refined the man would be.
Trees have active life, feelings and thoughts. The studies by the famous Indian scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose revealed that they have more sophisticated sensations than animals and human beings. They can actually see the halo of everything that approaches them and read the emotions and intensions of those who go near them from the colour of those halos. This fact had been established in the Crileon Photographs taken then. The halos of the cool kind and pacified mind would be green, lusty blue and angry red. With changes in the emotions, the colour of the halo changed. So we now know that the tree well in advance knew about the intensions of the evil, ignorance and folly hidden in that bestial mind that approached it. But deep-rooted in soil, what can it do?
Wise farmers who work in their grounds will not cut the head of a tree, but instead they will prune the lower branches and save the tree head for the future. It will grow into its fullness and offer free sustenance to man, beast and birds. That is what is expected of a tree. That is why trees are worshipped in Animism. The tree also knows this. That is why the tree never recovers from the shock of losing its top. If it could walk, it would have jumped into a river and taken its life. But as deep-rooted it is, the tree decides to stay there and make use of its lost life as a warning, publicity, monument, to the ignorance, folly and waywardness of its Tormentor.

This involves the system's capacity to adapt, recover, and maintain functionality despite internal or external changes, stressors, or disruptions. Resilience is key for ensuring long-term sustainability and success.
The natives. Jamestown would have failed if it weren't for the kindness and ignorance of the Native Americans. Kindness in the sense that they taught the settlers how to hunt, grow food, and basically how to survive. Ignorance in the sense that they did not know that the settlers were going to take over their land and massacre their people.
