Well the answer is quite simple. It means that people want what they most fear.
Shakespear
The quote "I fear explanations explanatory of things explained." is from Abraham Lincoln. What he meant was that something's are already known, and they do not need to be explained again.
Don't scare yourself, everything is controlled by your mind, when you control your mind, you control fear.
First, I think that we should rewrite this quote with better punctuations to make it easier to understand: "Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear." (Mark Twain) I think that "Courage is resistance to fear" means that it is sort of an antagonist to fear. That's pretty straight forward... Then, "mastery of fear - not absence of fear" probably means that someone with courage will still have fear; it doesn't mean that he won't have or feel any fear, however he will use his courage to "master", control, and/or manage the fear and get passed it.
Jack.
"The only thing we have to fear....is fear itself." was said in Roosevelt's inagural speech. It was meant to give hope to Americans in the time of the great depression. If we fear fear, we understand fear is something that can potentially stop us from achieving goals.
A Deep and often Irrational fear of certain, such as being a the room with a pair of socks and freaking out trying to leave the room because they're not washed..
This quote means that fear changes a person and makes them irrational, as it literally "eats away at logic" and can make a person crazy.
When Sarah Williams said this she meant your love for whatever it is you want to do in life will not be over powered by the fear of the unknown and/or failing. Basically meaning, shoot for you dreams and don't worry about things that could go ary. Your love for what you want is stronger than your fear of failing.
When we allow ourselves to be consumed with fear we lose sight of the good things in life, the things that are worth living for. So basically, the main fear to have is letting those things we fear take control of our thoughts and actions.
It mean like chocked up with fear or restricted with fear
