Phillip Sydney (incorrect spelling)
Arcadia an unfinished pastoral romance was written by Sir Philip Sidney
(1554-1586). None of his literary work (1578-1582) was published until after his death. Knighted by Elizabeth I, he was fatally wounded at Zutphen in the battle between Holland and Spain.
