Telemachus was the son of Odysseus and Penelope. It was Helen of Troy who noticed the tears of Telemachus and told him that he looked like Odysseus.

Odysseus becomes emotional and sheds tears when the minstrel sings about Troy because it reminds him of the hardships he faced during the Trojan War and his longing to return home to Ithaca. The memories of the war and the loss of his comrades evoke strong emotions in Odysseus.
The Odyssey started after Troy fell and Odysseus was cursed by the gods that he would find it hard to reach his home Ithaca. Poseidon was most angered by Odysseus' arrogance that the victory over Troy was due to him. The god made it impossible for Odysseus and his men to sail through the seas and they encountered various monsters (Cyclops, Scylla, Charybdis) and temptresses (Circe, Calypso) who were all bent on killing him and his men and or delaying him. After years of suffering Athena and the gods finally relented and allowed him to finally return home. Upon reaching Ithaca he learned that his wife Penelope was being woed by a number of randy suitors who laid waste to his palace. He and his son Telemachus devised a plan to overcome the suitors by making a contest on whomever could string the arrow inside 12 rings.

After five minutes of no response, no signs of life, her friend took a deep breath and opened his eyes. ... The tears that clung to her face looked superfluous now.
In the Odyssey, Odysseus tells a tragic story that moves the group to tears. Before dinner, Odysseus strategically shifts the conversation to happier topics, distracting and comforting them, allowing the group to stop crying and proceed with the meal.
When Odysseus cried into his mantle, it means that he was concealing his tears by burying his face in his cloak. This action allowed him to express his emotions without others seeing his vulnerable state. It's a way of privately mourning or showing distress without drawing attention to oneself.

Tears do contain salt in them, but it is more likely you are going through hormone changes that can be caused by PMS; during menstrual cycle; perimenopause (can happen from 40 years and up) to menopause (ceasing of menstrual cycles.) It is highly unlikely the tears healed the pimples and your hormone balance is back in place now.
