Our MP, Sir Paul Beresford, went on the BBC last week in a discussion about whether our MPs should have second jobs, to state that paying for his dental surgery in Putney (not in our constituency) was "good value for the taxpayer" as we contribute 75% of it's cost. Apparently it was a good way to keep in touch with the views of the common man. Frankly I find it hard to speak when I am in a dentist's chair with a man threatening me with a high speed drill. It would be more appropriate for him to get he view of the common man on the 7.06 from Dorking to Waterloo, like, as was once said the views of the "man on Clapham Omnibus". CW

Political science is the study of government systems, political behavior, and public policies. It encompasses topics such as political theory, comparative politics, international relations, and public administration. Science and political science are related in that both fields rely on evidence-based reasoning and research methods to understand and explain complex phenomena. Political scientists often use scientific principles and methodologies to study political systems, behavior, and policies. Science can provide valuable insights and data that inform political decision-making and help develop effective policies.
Natural science and political science are both branches of social science that seek to understand and explain different aspects of the world. While natural science focuses on the physical universe and natural laws, political science focuses on human behavior as it relates to governance and power dynamics.
