Snopes is a fact-checking website that aims to verify and debunk misinformation regardless of political ideology. While some may perceive it as having a liberal lean due to the nature of the false information it often debunks, its main focus is on fact-checking and accuracy.
I have finally come to the conclusion that snopes is not impartial, factual, neutral or unbiased where Oback Obama is concerned. I have really tried to be neutral myself but have to face the fact that I have never read even potentially critical response of any of snopes responses to the accusations or questions about Obama's viewpoints, behaviors, or background. No matter how much Obama might be admired by someone, he is not a perfect person any more than I - or you are.
Snopes aims to provide accurate and unbiased fact-checking without political bias. They focus on verifying the accuracy of claims regardless of the political affiliations involved. However, like any source, it's important for readers to critically evaluate information for themselves.
Operationalizing political orientation on a conservative and liberal dimension could involve using a scale with different items that align with conservative and liberal beliefs. For example, questions related to government intervention, social issues, and economic policies can be used to assign individuals a score on the conservative-liberal spectrum. This score can then be used to categorize individuals as either conservative or liberal based on their responses.
If a person has a liberal slant, they look at society thinking that poor people need financial help and sick people need medical help. They probably think that these things should be provided by those lucky people who are rich (or at least solvent), healthy, or both.
NoAdded: Not in the STRICTEST sense of the definitions. However you could be a Conservative with liberal views on some subjects (often referred to as a "Moderate" Conservative") or you could be a Liberal with conservative views on some subjects (identified as a "Moderate" Liberal).
