The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is already being implemented in the Philippines. It was established through Republic Act No. 9163, signed in 2002, and all college students are required to complete the program as a graduation requirement.
Because according to Presidential Decree No. 1706, otherwise known as the "National Service Law", NSTP has made national service obligatory only for all Filipino CITIZENS, that is, people having the Filipino nationality.
Many moral principles influencing Western democracy come from a variety of sources such as Greek philosophy, Roman law, Christian teachings, Enlightenment philosophy, and the ideas of modern political thinkers. These principles emphasize concepts such as individual rights, equality, justice, and the rule of law.
Socialism is an economic and political system based on the principles of social ownership and control of the means of production. Key principles include equitable distribution of wealth, social welfare programs, and collective decision-making. These principles aim to reduce income inequality, provide for basic needs, and promote cooperation over competition in society. The impact of socialism on society can vary, with proponents arguing that it leads to greater social equality and economic stability, while critics may argue that it can stifle innovation and individual initiative.
The 7 principles of government - popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of powers, checks and balances, judicial review, federalism, and individual rights - are foundational concepts reflected in the US Constitution. The Constitution establishes the framework for how the government operates and embodies these principles to ensure a system of government that is fair, balanced, and accountable to the people.
