Liberal individualism is the belief that an individual should be recognized by what makes them, and them only unique or different from the rest of the population. The belief that your independence, who you are, and your viewpoints should represent you, instead of your culture, family, government. Factors such as government, releigion, ethnicity...and so on would be representative of the oppositie viewpoint called communitarianism.
