A "populous democracy" is a system of government in which all political actions are voted upon by the citizens. Nothing in the country happens UNLESS at least 50.1% of its citizens approve through voting. The purpose is to establish a "majority rules" system so that the maximum number of citizens are satisfied. The government caters exclusively to the public (that means private businesses, corporations, etc. are banned from political involvement by any means). There is a President, VP, etc. but they are strictly limited to enforcing what the people have established, or propose and approve through a majority vote.
Populous democracy is a form of democracy where decisions are made directly by the population rather than through representatives. It emphasizes the active participation of citizens in decision-making processes and governance.

The word "democracy" comes from the Greek words "demos" (people) and "kratos" (power), meaning "power to the people." The world's oldest surviving democracy is in Athens, Greece, dating back to the 5th century BC. The United States is considered a representative democracy, where citizens vote for representatives who make decisions on their behalf.
The three types of representative democracy are parliamentary democracy, presidential democracy, and mixed democracy. In parliamentary democracy, the executive branch is drawn from the legislative branch. In presidential democracy, the executive branch is separate from the legislative branch. Mixed democracy combines elements of both parliamentary and presidential systems.
