In theory, yes. In the idealistic communist community, everyone in the community works their hardest and everybody gets just enough supplies to support themselves and their family. In the real world, however, this system would not work for many reasons. Firstly, the leader would take advantage of their position of power. Secondly, the civilians would take advantage of their positions. Therefore, the only way that communism would work in the real world is if the citizens were completely unselfish and there was no wrongdoing.

1917 to 1991
both didn't believe in communism
No. After the cold war ended they converted to capitalism on the recommendation of the US
The communists distributed wealth and equality to appeal their type of government.
The Marx's communist ideas appealed to most Russians for various reasons. Most people knew that they could overthrow the government using communism.
they opposed i think it was Stalin or lenin. either way they opposed a Russian leader and hated communism.
Any American conflict past Vietnam (past 1975) does not involve communism. The Soviets (Russians) in Afghanistan in the 1970s/80s involved communism, and the US supported the insurgents there against the Soviets (Russians). Everything since then (for the US) has been about crimes (General Noriega) & poorly led leaders of some countries that the US felt should be removed (the Iraqi & Libya leaders as two examples).
He did not like communism he was a communist hunter.
