They very mUch feel that the government should have very little to do with your life. There are people who align themselves with libertarians, but are still socially conservative, such as the tea party movement. A true libertarian like Ron Paul may not believe in gay rights, but he does not think the government should stop someone from getting married based off sexual preference.
