Opinion 1: He was an embarrassment to Australia. He didn't even consider himself Australian, he considered himself British. He tried to even call Australia's currency "the royal". And he allowed the British to do nuclear testing in Australia. Was he a bad prime minister? No. Was he an embarrassment and highly overrated? Yes. Opinion 2: Robert Menzies was and remains Australia's longest-serving Prime Minister. Were his policies poor or were he considered an embarrassment to Australia, he would not have continued to win elections.
