290 senators
290 senators
Article I, Section 5 of the US Constitution requires that 2/3 of the members must vote in favor in order to expel a member. Since there are currently 100 US Senators, 67 would need to vote in favor in order to expel a Senator.
Well, friend, in the House of Representatives, it takes a simple majority vote to expel a member, which means at least 218 out of the 435 representatives need to vote in favor. In the Senate, it's a bit tougher, requiring a two-thirds majority vote, which means 67 out of the 100 senators need to agree to expel a member. It's all about working together and making important decisions as a group.
Two-thirds of those present must vote to expel. In the history of the Senate, only 15 have been expelled. Fourteen of them were expelled for supporting the Confederate Secession.
Well, since the house of representatives do alot of work my answer would have to be no.
Many countries call their upper house 'the senate'. this would make a member a Senator.
A member of the House of Representatives
The U.S. Constitution says that "Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member." Thus, it is up to the Senate to determine what activities it will expel a Senator for. A history of Senate expulsions can be found at: http://senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/briefing/Expulsion_Censure.htm
The Speaker has a vote if he/she is a member of the house of representatives BUT ... the speaker of the house does not have to be a member of the house of representatives in order to become speaker so, the speaker has a vote if he/she is a member, but that does not always have to be the case
Keep dream potato :)
The family member would be required to be present for one or both of the following reasons: 1. for the family to oversee if anything has been mistreated or not completed fairly. or 2. to give the patient confidence while being tested on.
A visa is not required as France is a VWP member country, but a valid passport would still be required.
