Rise Against is not a straight edge band in the traditional sense, as they do not explicitly identify as such. However, some members have expressed personal commitments to sobriety and a lifestyle that aligns with straight edge principles. The band's music often addresses social and political issues, rather than focusing solely on the straight edge philosophy.

Most, if not all, of the members of Four Year Strong are Straight Edge. However, I'm not sure if I would consider them a straight edge band. I'm not sure they project those beliefs through their lyrics or not. Only Dan and Alan are straightedge. Josh, Jake, and Joe aren't. They're not really a "straight edge band" like H2O, Terror, etc. but they do promote straight edge... Silverstein and Rise Against are great straight edge bands also. - Umm, Silverstein is not a straightedge band. Only a couple people in the band are.
No they are not. They are what you would call "straight edge".
Some notable straight edge documentaries include "Edge: The Story of an American Punk Rock Band," which explores the origins and impact of the straight edge movement within punk culture. Additionally, "The Edge of Quarrel" examines the intersection of straight edge and hardcore punk, highlighting its ethos and community. These films collectively illustrate the philosophy and lifestyle of straight edge, shedding light on its cultural significance.

"Straight-edge." The term was coined by the hardcore punk band Minor Threat (who founded the Straight-Edge movement). Not all straight-edge people have the same beliefs, but, generally speaking, most straight-edge punks are against people taking any kind of drugs -- including prescription drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes.
Straight Edge Superstar refers to CM Punk's character and lifestyle. It basically means no alcohol, tobacco or drugs of any kind. It was started in the 80's by hardcore punk band Minor Threat with their song "Straight Edge."
