The legislative branch of government typically consists of two parties, particularly in a bicameral system like that of the United States, which comprises the House of Representatives and the Senate. In such systems, two major political parties often dominate the political landscape, influencing legislation and governance. This two-party system fosters competition and debate over policies and ideologies, shaping the political environment.

The Executive Branch of government may consist of many agencies but the Branch itself is only one of three branches of the government. The other two branches of government are the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch.
THe members of legislative branch consist of all our elected representatives and their staffs..
There are 2 main political parties in the US, the Republicans and the Democrats. The Democrats are in charge of the Executive Branch. In the Legislative Branch, there are 2 houses, the House of Representatives and the Senate. In the House of Representatives the Republicans have control, but in the Senate the Democrats have control. In the Judicial Branch there are 4 accepted conservatives (republicans) and 3 accepted liberals (democrats) the remaining 2 vote both ways; so it can be said that Republicans have the judicial branch.
