What did Mary die of?

She didn't. She went physically into Heaven, just as the Prophet Elijah did.

Clarification:

Mary probably died from complications of old age. There are two acceptable explanations acceptable by the Catholic Church:

1.) Mary died and a short time later her body was assumed into heaven to be reunited with her soul.

2.) At the end of her days on earth she was assumed, body and soul, into heaven.

We do not know when Mary Magdalene died but some traditions hold that she lived to quite an old age. That would mean she died late in the first century AD.

Her kingdom was attacked and an arrow hit her heart during the attack. The arrow still has her blood on it.
