What facts are there that King John was unlucky?

Well Johns brother Richard, didn't leave him enough money to rule an entire country after his death; as a result every time there was a war John didn't have enough money to pay for good weapons so this meant that King John's men almost always lost the battle. John was also unpopular for charging ridiculously high taxes however, again John didn't have enough money to pay for the damages that were caused and needed more money. John was also once excommunicated from the church after an argument with the Pope over who should of been appointed Archbishop of Canterbury, excommunicated is when somebody is expelled from the church and can never return this means no marriages, you couldn't be baptised and that you would be sent straight to hell. Once all the Barron's had had enough of King John being such a bad king they put together the "Magna Carter" this was a book that restricted John from what he was allowed to do and where he was allowed to go. But as you can see John suffered from bad luck. king john went to Ireland to rule but he was very UN popular and he was forced to move back to England just after 8 months of ruling
