None of Queen Anne's children survived past childhood, so the House of Stuart ended with her reign. The next monarch was George I with the start of the House of Hanover.
In England only two. In Scotland James II of England was their seventh king called James.
James II succeeded Charles II in 1685. This was as the King of England and Ireland. As King of Scotland, James II was known as James VII.
