Morocco became independent on 2 March 1956. It is worth noting that with the exception of Ifni and Rio de Oro (Western Sahara), all of Spanish and French Morocco became independent jointly.
The colony of Rio de Oro in Africa was able to provide more products for trade. Spain was able to take over and become a world power.

El Rio De Oro, or The River Of Gold, was discovered by Gil Eannes (or Eanes), Prince Henry the Navigator's household servant and shield bearer. Gil Eannes was the first sailor to be able to sail around Cape Bojador, a treacherous water space many sailors could not bypass.

Cerro de Oro's population is 314.
