There isn't one. The US Supreme Court has appellate jurisdiction over most cases; they don't hold trials, and there is no jury. The only type of case heard under original (trial) jurisdiction involves disputes between the states. These are initially heard by a Court-appointed Special Master who advises the Supreme Court on a course of action.
Alberta's superior court initially, it was then appealed to the SCC...I think. Regardless, his charge was reduced but conviction remained.

The Constitution requires states to settle their disputes without the use of force. If states are not able to settle their disagreements unaided, they can file an interstate lawsuit, which will be heard in the United States Supreme Court.
