Mars is the most likely choice. It is the closest planet to Earth and current theories suggest there is enough water and CO2 to one day convert (terraform) the planet to sustain humans. It also conveniently has a day/night cycle that closely matches Earth's: 24 hours and 37 minutes.

Would Neptune make a good location for a manned mission to colonize the planet?

We can't colonize it because we can't land on it.

What would it take for humans to colonize Saturn?

A long time and a lot of money.

Which planet do you think would be easiest for humans to colonize?

Well, Mercury is too hot and there are deadly cosmic rays from the Sun, there. Venus is the right size, but is far too hot (800 degrees, F) and has a deadly atomosphere. Mars has no atmosphere, but it does have water in the form of ice, and the surface does not appear to be harmful. If there are any microbes living on Mars, they could be deadly to humans, but none have yet been found. The rest of the planets are gas giants: there is no land on them; however, some of their satellites (moons) may well be suitable for humans. Jupiter's Ganymede and Europa come to mind . . . So, probably the easiest would be Mars, simply because it is closest to Earth.

How would humans colonize mars?

by sending daniel griffiths who lives in llanelli wales UK

Is Mars feasible to colonize this planet?

It is unlikely that Mars will ever be colonised by humans, since the journey to and from Mars would be long and frought with too many dangers. Also, Mars is too far from the Sun to have a good living temperature, and atmospheric conditions would be adverse.

What talents are needed to colonize a planet?

The talents needed to colonize a planet would depend upon which planet you are colonizing. Some are harder to colonize than others, and in any event, this is a very hypothetical question since we are not remotely capable of colonizing any planet at this time in human history. Mars would be the best bet, but we really are not prepared to make the kind of investment that would be needed to colonize Mars (although I understand that some people want to fund a trip to Mars as a reality TV program, something like Survivor Mars - it is doubtful that this could result in a self-sustaining colony, but who know). So let's say you are going to colonize Mars. This is not easy to do since Mars does not have a breathable atmosphere. It would require massive technological support to colonize a planet like Mars, and that in turn means that the talents you need lie in the field of science and technology. You have to be able to build and maintain very sophisticated machinery, and if you don't do that, you will run out of air and will die. It's a serious business.

Why would humans want to go to mars?

Exploration and perhaps to colonize in the future. With an atmosphere it is the most habitable of all others in our system.

Why do humans have traits?

Us humans have traits because if we didn't have any, we would be bored in this planet

What planet are humans more likely to colonize in?

not incLuding the moon? definitely mars they apparently would build massive pressurised domes that you could breath in (no suits) so basically everything as normal inside these domes pools hotels Anthing really, maybe in 100 years.

How would people colonize mars and how would they survive on it?

They would have to build an economical atmosphere inside an air-tight bio-sphere. and would have to conserve food ,water, oxygen to live on another planet.

Will humans die if there is no sun?

Yes. The planet would freeze solid. Also, the planet would hurtle out of control with nothing to orbit around. We would also likely crash into another planet.

What if all humans were banned from Antarctica?

Without humans in Antarctica, there would be no scientific research as to the health of planet earth.
