There is no event that would not have taken place if there was a female heir to the british throne. Except perhaps the wedding of Charles and Diana. Also for conspiricy theorists Diana would have not been assassinated?
The reason why she was not the queen of England is because she reigned during the 19 and very early 20th Century when English Monarchy ended technically in 1603. James VI then came to the throne exept he was king of Scotland and now took the English throne. So from there on all the monarchs were SCOTTISH decent until 1707 when it was declared that we shall unite as Great Britain which included Scotland, England and Wales so then on they were British English Monarchy Lasted 774-1603 and Scottish Monarchy lasted 843-1707, British monarchs lasted 1707- to the present day which means queen Victoria was Queen of Great Britain, and Empress of India.
