Republics are normally democratic.
republic
"Communism" itself is not a political structure. It is an economic one just like socialism and capitalism. A dictatorship would have a dictator, a monarchy would have a king or queen. A beaurocracy would have a speaker. A democracy would have a President or prime minister.
Changes can be from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy, a republic to a democracy or a dictatorship to a communist state. These are just some forms of government, there are more and a change in form would be from one to another

In a democracy people have the right to choose whether or not to own. In communism, no-one has the right to own as ownership of everything is collective.
No: It is an Islamic Republic. Absolutely not! It was for a while until the last Shah was deposed by the Ayatollah Khomeni, but now it would claim to be a democracy, with an elected President, but the real power lies with the unelected clerics behind the scenes.
democracy is incorrect, because there need not be a "leader" in a direct democracy. You are probably looking for "republic," in which certain persons represent their fellows, but you could also have an elected monarchy, an elected aristocracy, etc. It would depend only on the choice of the electorate. What actually needs improvement is the question.
Ancient Greece was not a country - it was comprised of over 2,000 independent city-states. These city-states each changed their form of government periodically as problems arose, ranging from monarchy, oligarchy, tyranny, limited democracy and radical democracy. As one form failed, another would be tried. For example, Athens went from monarchy to oligarchy, tyranny, limited democracy and radical democracy, then back to limited democracy. Sparta went from a dual monarchy to a combined monarchy-oligarchy to a combined monarchy-limited democracy.
We would not have Christianity. Both Catholic and Orthodox Christianity and their theologies and rituals developed in the Roman Empire and became the state religion of this empire.Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian would not exist because they were languages derived from Latin. Many English words would not exist either because they are of Latin origin. The alphabets of the western European languages would not exist or would be different because they have adopted and adapted the Latin alphabet.Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical architecture would not have existed because they were modelled on Roman architecture. The influence of Latin literature on European literature would not have existed. The law of many modern countries is based on Roman law. This would not have happened.
A democracy is a system of government where the power is vested in the people, who exercise it directly or through elected representatives. A federal republic is a type of democracy where the power is divided between a central government and individual states or regions, each with its own authority and autonomy within the overarching framework of the country.

Anand Mehta is correct; the two terms of "republic" and "monarchy" are mutually exclusive as terms since a republic is ruled by legislative bodies (primarily or exclusively elected) or elected executives. However, a constitutional monarchy has the elected legislative which resembles exactly what you would see in a republic as well as a king, which is requisite for a monarchy and would be a hybrid-regime.
