Sauropods (dinosaurs)
The sauropod called Bruhathkayosaurus is estimated at "only" 144 feet long (45 m), but it would have been the heaviest known land animal, heavier at 140 tons than most blue whales.
The physically "biggest" could be Amphicoelias, a Diplodocid about which little is known, but which may have been up to 200 feet (60 m) in length.

Currently, the largest bird in the world is the Ostrich, but before the Ostrich there were even bigger birds like the Moa and the Elephant Bird. Unfortunately, these birds are extinct. The Moa became extinct in the 1800s, and the Elephant Bird (Aepyornis gracilis) became extinct in htye 1700s.
The largest bird to have ever lived is the Madagascan Elephant Bird or Aepyornis. This flightless bird is thought to have have weighed up to 1100 pounds and have reached 11 feet in height. The tallest bird in the world was the New Zealand Giant Moa which could grow to 13 feet. The largest flying bird was the Argentavis of South America. Also called the Giant Teratorn, this bird could have a wingspan up to 26 feet. All these birds are now extinct.
That bird is the elusive Ivory-billed Woodpecker.
The largest bird in New Zealand was the Haast Eagle. This bird of prey went extinct around 1400 due to lose of habitat and it's primary food source was also hunted to extinction.
