A person might scratch their head when uncertain; often this is an unconscious reaction to confusion or doubt, not necessarily nervousness.

I am going to say that its so addicting because of the sharp edge drawing style, at least at first but then after that because of the cultural base, as well as the way they are able to instill a lot of their cultural history and beliefs into the storyline and make any story, no matter what it is about; moving and touching. Case in point who would have thought that watching trains in space would make sense but still it was a good anime because of the determination and background of the main character. Anime always has some hidden story that has to do with bloodlines and traits, story's of a great father killed and his only son there to become the man that his father always dreamed of... Naruto for example.
The reason he is called Jeff the killer is because his name is Jeff and he's a killer. And yes, there is a story behind it. You can get it read to you on the related link below, or read it yourself on the first link. If you are scared, or creeped out about Creepypastas and such, know that all of the Creepypastas of the Internet are 100% fictional. Creepypastas are made to scare and unnerve the reader.
Seriozha had taken tobacco from his father's table that did not belong to him. He was young and believed that all that belonged to his father was his... both their belongings were the same. He was not addicted to smoking but just wanted to copy his father and become like him, because he loved him so much. Practical things had no effect on him but basically when told to him in story that he should quit smoking he stopped.... not because he understood the ill effects of smoking, but only because he thought his father would die lonely if he smoked (he didn't fear his death, but his father's loneliness).

Mr. Jones heads to bed in a tired state at the beginning of the story.
Judge Judy is mean to people in the court room because those people did wrong things and if a Judge becomes nice to the victims they will take advantage of that and lie. If someone is mean to them then they will start getting nervous and tell the true story of what really happened but if you start to get nice they will lie and tell a fake story because they think that if you lie it's okay because the Judge is nice. If your mean and straight at them they would get nervous and tell the truth (don't forget there is a crowd in the back)
