Solving a Rubik's Cube does not require a specific IQ level. It mainly depends on practice, patience, and understanding of the cube's algorithms.
The ball has to cost $0.05, and the bat has to cost $1.05 because A. $1.05 + $0.05 = $1.10 AND B. $1.05 - $0.05 = $1.00 It is common for people who do not think through the problem to respond with $0.10, but this is incorrect because C. Although $1.00 + $0.10 = $1.10, D. $1.00 - $0.10 = $0.90, which is not $1.00 more, as required by the problem. To solve the problem with algebra, it would look something like this: Set up the equation: x + ($1.00 + x) = $1.10 Collect like terms: $1.00 + 2x = $1.10 Subtract $1.00 from each side of the equation to isolate the variable, x: 2x = $0.10 Solve for x: x = $0.05 Check your work: x + ($1.00 + x) = $1.10, so $0.05 + ($1.00 + $0.05) = $1.10 Do the arithmetic: $1.10 = $1.10, so the solution is valid.

There is no real average for the amount of turns it takes to solve a rubick's cube. It greatly depends on what method you are using. Assuming you are talking about the basic 3x3x3 cube, I averaged 100 turns per solve. When i solved it the first time it took me 111 turns, the next time, 85 turns and the last time 105. As you can see, just among on method, there are enough variation to cause a difference of 26 turns. As there are plenty of other methods out there, some shorter, some longer, if there was an average, it wouldn't be that good an average because the amount of turns varies so much.
There is an amazing website that I have found that is wonderfully concise with it's complete animated illustrations of moves that can be used to solve the Rubik's cube. Click on the related link.

At the moment, the official world record is 7.08 seconds done at a competition. For other times done by people at home it goes down to 6 seconds. My current record is only 15 seconds. =.= http://www.cubelagoon.com/?ref=1285 Basically, you answer surveys to gain points and then use those points to claim prizes. Such as a rubiks cube. Its 100% free. I've gotten a 3x3 white cube and a 4x4 rubiks cube from here. Its very fast. For a 2x2 cube, its 4.75 points and each survey is around 0.5-2 points. So you can get it in no time.
