Terrorism emerges as an individual fanatical ideology for vengeance against an institution, community or society and quickly inducts frustrated members in its community to influence them with a socio-religious-political- economic radical cause that may or may not have any relevance to the individual grievances of the perpetrators of terrorism itself.
Terrorism if not suppressed at the very beginning emerges as either a national or international problem. With induction of more and more like minded ideologist groups, terrorism acquires a national or international influence and drive against any type of political-economical hegemony or on a larger scale as a clash of civilization itself.
The efforts to end terrorism should begin by the reversal process to change the psychological hate and the mind set of individuals (political leaders of nations-policies of governments) , communities(religious-social discriminations)and nations(global competitions-war) to diffuse the political-economic hegemony and the clash of civilizations.
Mere political efforts to end terrorism by anti terrorist drives is a foolish attempt as it will add more fuel to the fire of hate and terrorist acts.
Well, think about it first from a physical aspect. By that I mean the actual, tangible damage terrorism does. Recently the Boston Marathon was victim to terrorism by bombing. Those bombs did terrible damage to both the location and the people involved. Same thing with the Twin Tower bombings on september 11th, 2001. Note that there are, unfortunately, far more instances of terrorism in the world, but I'm going to stick with those two.Despite the considerable physical damage terrorism can do, mental damage is, unequivocally, what does the most damage. The runners of the Boston Marathon were fairly prominent runners. It's an exclusive marathon, you can't just join on a whim, you need to be an experienced runner. Thanks to the bombing-induced injuries sustained, many of these competitors will never be able to run again. Then you have to consider the family members of the injured and deceased. The damage emotional loss like that can do is insurmountable.Even someone who isn't personally affected is, in actuality, still affected by terrorism. Have you ever heard people complain about airport security? Well, that inconvenience exists because of terrorism. Terrorism is something that instills fear, anger, and sadness into people. It's a horrible concept that we may never fully eradicate. However, we'll always be working hard to reduce it's occurrences as much as possible.
The point of life is to find meaning and purpose in the time we have, even though it may end in death. It is about making the most of our experiences, relationships, and contributions to the world.
