Well im sorry to hear that thos persn you speak of is having self esteem issues, and i know that that's a tough situation to be in to try and help them boost it up. I would suggest to get down to the roots of whys she/he is having this problems and if its like his or her weight then maybe suggest going to the gym in a nice way and maybe offer to be his or her buddy. say youll walk with them or run or bike ride anythings good, also suggest if you notice that there eating unhealty suggest that they cut back on the fat and unheatly foods.

And if its like she self esteem is about the way he or she looks she should be happpy the way they look. God made them that way for a reason. Accept it and live with it. Someone will love you for it i promise If its because u havent had a boy/girl friend in a long time help them by asking if they want to go to a club or place to hang out and have fun with them show them some moves like how to get a guys or girls number. you just need to be there for your friend in everyway possible.

i hoped i helped

Listening to them, providing positive encouragement and validation, and helping them recognize and challenge negative thought patterns are effective ways to help someone with self esteem. Encouraging self-care practices, setting achievable goals, and celebrating their successes can also boost their self esteem. Additionally, recommending professional help from a therapist or counselor may be beneficial in addressing deeper underlying issues.

What makes you think self esteem can help you say no to violence?

Those who suffer from violence, domestic abuse etc. often believe that they deserve it and that they are not worth being treated properly. Self esteem is believing that you deserve to be happy and live a long and fulfilling life where personal safety is not threatened at the hands of someone else. Therefore, if someone is being exposed to violent behaviour and they gain self-esteem, it will help them to say "no." because they will realise that they have value and do not deserve to suffer for no particular reason.
