Call 911 or whatever your area's equivalen to 911 is, immediately. While waiting for the ambulance, check to see if the child is breathing (in a small child you can tell by seeing if their stomach is rising and falling) and if they have a pulse, and if you know how to do so, begin artificial respiration and/or CPR as necessary. DO NOT attempt CPR if you have not been trained to do so. The person who answers the 911 call can give you further instructions so stay on the phone with them till the ambulance arrives.

In Freud's theory the role of the dream is to make us aware of fears and desires thereby relieving tension in the psyche?

Yes, in Freud's theory, dreams are a way for the unconscious mind to express and deal with repressed desires and fears. They help to bring these unconscious elements to the forefront of consciousness, allowing for catharsis and release of psychological tension.

What is unconscious repression?

Unconscious repression is a defense mechanism where unpleasant thoughts, emotions, or memories are pushed out of the conscious mind and stored in the unconscious to avoid dealing with them. This process helps protect the individual from experiencing distress or anxiety associated with the repressed material.

Could spontaneous remarks reveal glimpses of the unconscious?

The answer is simply yes. Spontaneous remarks, slips of the tongue, and Fruedian slips all refer to the same thing. According to Freudian psychology, spontaneous remarks and certain types of humor can reveal what lies within the unconscious mind. What is more important when it comes to the unconscious are dreams; which carry a great deal of information from the unconscious mind.

Is unconscious an adverb?

No, the word unconscious is an adjective (also a noun). The adverb form is "unconsciously."

What is the difference between the unconscious and the collective unconscious?

The personal unconscious is where suppressed or ignored aspects of the individual are housed. This layer is just below consciousness, and as a general rule, is easily accessed. The collective unconscious is a deeper layer, which houses aspects of the person that are not related to the experiences of his life.
