Well you can pull away from your mom slowly. But if she pulls back talk to her. I know this is hard but you know what it will improve a lot. I would have a talk with her when she is in a good mood. Sit her down and say nicely. Mom I am not your little boy anymore. I am growing up and I want to be with my friends not my mom. And you get really embarrassing when I am with my friends. So can you please quit treating me like a little boy? That is how I would put it. I really hope this helps you.

To stop being a mama's boy, it's important to establish boundaries and become more independent. Communicate openly with your mother about your need for autonomy and set clear boundaries about personal space and decisions. Seek out your own interests, develop your own identity, and take responsibility for your own choices to become more self-reliant.
