Well, perception is all about interpreting the information that the mind receives from the outside world. So the question is how does society affect one's perception?
In my opinion the answer to that would be, it all depends on what society a person is around or dealing with. Society may change ones sense out of what we hear, what we touch, and what we smell. In other words you can see things differently.
The way we interpret our physical state can influence the emotions that we feel. So perception really involves all of our senses, even though it is vision that we know most about.
