well one of my best friends was abused so i know a little from experience a little from other stuff

  • my friend to this day can not have anything around her neck including necklaces because it scares the crap out of her
  • she hates hugs because (subconsciously sorta) it makes her feel trapped
  • the child may have problems trusting other people
  • if the child is close the the abuser for a while the child will probably be very mad and trying to get other people to hit or whatever him/her again so they can feel like the person who did this to them was not a bad person (they don't consciously think this of course)
  • if it was sexual abuse they might not want to have sex well past the age where their peers are
  • they might have very low self esteem
  • they might get depression
  • and a lot of other things too :/
