The Aspie quiz is not a reliable or accurate tool for diagnosing Asperger's syndrome. It is important to consult a qualified healthcare professional for a proper evaluation and diagnosis.
There is no concrete evidence to suggest that Steve Jobs had Asperger's syndrome. While he displayed characteristics that some may associate with the condition, it is not appropriate to diagnose someone posthumously without proper evaluation.
Ego syndrome is not a medically recognized term, but it comes in many forms. One is runaway ego syndrome, which occurs when someone keeps bragging on themselves. This syndrome is usually intensified with alcohol. Another is fragile white ego syndrome, in which a white person bases their worth in part on pride of being white, which is a false pride that is easily threatened.
There are different terms used to describe a person who falls in love with the person that saves them. Florence Nightingale Syndrome or Knight in Shining Armor Syndrome is used to describe this phenomenon.
Superman Syndrome is when a male has XYY for sex chromosomes. This was first discovered when researchers began studying male aggression in inmates. They found this extra sex chromosome and tried to find the link between the two. No correlation was found. Symptom's of Superman Syndrome are unusual height, average to low IQ's, and a slight increase in aggression. One in 2000 men have this, and it is likely that you know someone with this disorder.
It is called ambivalence. Ambivalence is the experience of having contradictory emotions or feelings about a particular person, object, or situation at the same time.
Aspergers Syndrome sufferer
Someone with aspergers syndrome can certainly become a chiropractor, provided they can meet the educational criteria (4 years of undergraduate university, 4 years of chiropractic college, pass board exams). That being said, chiropractic is a health care profession that involves alot of one-on-one interaction between a doctor and his/her patient, and communication skills are a big asset. As aspergers syndrome is characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction, a chiropractor with aspergers syndrome may have a difficult time interacting/communicating with his/her patients, and thus may not be very successful. Thus, although someone with aspergers COULD become a chiropractor, I would suggest that they strongly consider whether or not it is the right career choice for them.
Aspergers syndrome is a disorder having to do with a person's ability to interact socially. Because it is a social disorder, the general health of a person with this syndrome would not be affected. The life expectancy is the same as that of any other person. The movie "Rain Man" is about a man with Aspergers (or somewhere on the Autism Spectrum). It may give you a better idea of what it is.
Yes, it is a learning disability, unless they are Asperger's due to Autism. Comment: Asperger's Syndrome is not a learning disability. It is a neurological condition that is part of the autism spectrum. People with Asperger's Syndrome can also have learning disabilities.
People with Aspergers have problems with interacting directly with other people and a few other minor symtoms. Other than that, they are just as normal as the rest of us.
This is very difficult. Aspergers is a disorder and has many characteristics and mannerisms, but other people may have the some of the same but not all of them. It is tricky and unless you are trained to do this it isn't easy.
They can. It has been heard of that an Aspergers person may be in thought for a long period time and can ask a question that may be odd, out of the blue, or just random to the one being asked. Or it may be on an odd subject; usually something the Aspergers individually likes or is interested in.
Someone with Asperger's might have a hard time interacting with people around them and can feel isolated from other people. Another sign that a person might have aspergers is that they can be slow at time. Also aspergers can effect everyday life situations such as work and school
It could be but it's unlikely, people with aspergers tend to be nice and caring
I dont know that Aspergers is a sickness. It is said usually that someone is "gifted" with Asperger. That means it is a blessing. Many Aspergers say that they wouldnt trade Aspergers with a neurotypical life. I dont think Aspergers is a sickness.
Inappropriate social interactions are sometimes associated with Aspergers Syndrome. This can manifest in inappropriate vocal expression, laughter, and direct social interactions.
