Self-harm can be influenced by various factors, including learning behaviors by observing others, seeking relief from emotional distress, or coping with overwhelming feelings. It's not always a learned behavior, but can be influenced by environmental, genetic, and psychological factors. Therapy and support can help individuals understand and address the underlying causes of their self-harm tendencies.
