There are hundreds things people get addicted to. The obvious once are drugs, Alcohol, smoking.

But those that some people see them as addicted and some don't are VIDEO GAMES.

INTERNET VIDEO games can be very addicted. And if the student is addicted to video game, he'll stress a lot more, he won't get along with his or her friends, family, teachers.

I can't list all the things. But it's easy to see when a person is addicted to something. IF you notice that the person can't stop on something, it could be video game or something else, than it means that he or she is addicted.

Also many people get addicted to a different things. But if you see that the person spends too much time on something, then he or she is probably addicted. You can't get addicted to GOOD THING though. That is because they are good things.

( You can get addicted to reading ) It's very good to read , but when you spent all time reading and everyday without doing any exercise or going outside or communicate with someone, it can be a bad thing. You'll basically live in your own world without noticing other people. And that's not good.

Addiction can be Physical or Emotional, therefore it is theoretically possible to become addicted to anything. Physical Addiction is a possible result of Dependence on a drug or substance. For instance, you may have a bad accident and be prescribed Opiates (Vicodin, Codeine, Oxycontin etc.) for months while you heal. After no longer needing them, you stop taking them. You will withdraw physically for several days and be uncomfortable. It will then pass, and you go on with your life, not taking the drug anymore. In this case, you were physically dependent, because Opiates are drugs that people become physically dependent upon, but you were not addicted, because they were medically prescribed and not abused. If you continue to take the drugs despite not needing them, you are then addicted to the drug, and might need help to quit. Emotional Addiction means that there are no physical withdrawal symptoms if you stop (such as sex addiction, Marijuana, and a host of other practices and substances), just an emotionally based habit that is difficult to break. In this case, you might need professional help as well.
