It means that your emotions are controlling you. Therefore, you tend to react to situations rather than appropriately respond to them. When your not in control of your emotions, your apt to make quick decisions which may not be the best decisions. It also promotes an emotional out-burst, or loss of temper. We need to stay focused, and not let our emotions distract us from what is happening or being said around us. We really need to assimilate the circumstance or information, digest it, and think through it so we can appropriately respond to them. This is by no means an easy chore. It requires the development of patience and much practice.
