Here's what I do. Get a sheet of paper and something to write with. Fold the paper in two equally-sized halves. On one side, write your "ego-makers"-- things that make you feel awesome, things you do better than everybody else, special talents/skills, etc. On the other side, write your "ego-breakers"-- health/social problems and things you suck at and so on. With your ego-manager, you can look at your ego-makers when you feel worthless and see the other side of the paper if you get cocky.
