self-efficacy
Self efficacy: a person's belief in their own competence. Self mastery: the ability to make the most out of your physical, mental, and spiritual health or otherwise know as self control
Albert Bandura defined self-efficacy as "beliefs in one's capabilities to organize and execute the courses of action required to produce given attainments". In other words, its a kind of situation-specific self confidence. It's believing you can do specific thing. Self esteem is your opinion of yourself. Having high self-esteem could help you be more confident, thus giving you self-efficacy in a certain task.
A person's self-efficacy is their perceived ability to complete a task. In other words, it is how competent a person feels. In training programs, people with low self-efficacy may see themselves as unable to complete the training program successfully, influencing their performance. People with high self-efficacy generally feel more competent and capable, so it would make sense for them to complete training programs successfully or with higher scores, etc. When there is evaluation involved in the training program, people with low self-efficacy can also experience what is called evaluation apprehension (essentially fear of being judged), leading to greater self doubt and less than stellar performance.
Psychologists believe self-efficacy which is the belief you have in yourself to perform duties and complete ambitions. Many external factors can affect your self-efficacy are, negative experiences, self-doubt, adverse comments and high stress levels.
